Evonik shares expertise at its new ‘School of Animal Nutrition’

  • New science-based training program
  • Participants from South and Southern Africa
  • Knowledge the most important ingredient in feed mix

Evonik has launched a new science-based training program called the ‘Evonik School of Animal Nutrition’ to help its customers achieve optimum performance and profitability with minimum environmental impact.

The company invited 12 participants from South and Southern Africa to Hanau, Germany, recently, to hear from Evonik experts who addressed topics ranging from raw material quality control, poultry nutrition and gut health management through to Evonik’s understanding of optimum nutrition for poultry, pigs, tilapia and dairy cows.

“We believe that equipping customers with the latest knowledge allows them to make the best-informed decisions on who to partner with to face the coming challenges involved in feeding the growing population in a sustainable manner,” said Martin Smith, Technical Service Director, Animal Nutrition, Evonik Middle East Africa.

The program was very well received, with participants leaving with clear ideas about how to make their businesses more effective and profitable.

Rowena Blanco, Nutritionist / Sales & Marketing Manager at Tiger Animal Feeds, said: “Evonik has an impressive array of unique tools and models which are simple and effective to utilize in order to achieve optimum results from raw materials to finished products.”

Delegates from central African countries, and the Middle East and North Africa will participate in the next two events, in March and July 2019.
