EVONIK DUBAI NEARS 90% OF A VACCINATED OFFICE

A leading hub in innovation and healthcare, the UAE is making remarkable progress by leaps and bounds in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Over nine million vaccination doses are administered in the UAE steering the country to rank sixth in the global vaccinations drive. Having inoculated more than half of the eligible population, the UAE is widening its efforts to immunize the rest of the country by encouraging citizens and residents to register for the available COVID-19 vaccinations.

Joining the country’s efforts to combat the virus with lifted spirits, nearly 90% of the Evonik team in Dubai have taken the shot and are actively involved as ambassadors for positive change by encouraging family and friends to get vaccinated.

Thousands of people across the world are affected by the pandemic; some by the loss of loved ones, some by economic situations and some by mental health and other factors. Shedding light on the importance of taking the vaccine, Rizwan Waheed, Customer Service Representative & IT, MEA shares his personal note “My reason for taking the vaccine is because I have personally experienced the unfortunate situation of hearing family and friends contract the virus, to the extent of a near loss of a friend. Fortunately, he recovered - thanks to the healthcare team working tirelessly. We are fortunate to be living in the UAE where vaccines are administered to everyone free of cost, and more so all the necessary care is also provided for those in need. I personally believe that any vaccine is better than no vaccine at all. I have taken the shot to protect my family and others too”.
