EVONIK MEA ORGANISES FIRST IN-PERSON CUSTOMER EVENT
A Cross-BL coatings initiative, the event was hosted on the customer’s premises with meticulous COVID-19 safety protocol
What was once a common act of communication– direct meetings, has now changed to virtual meetings. Although, this may have altered customer engagement, this hasn’t deterred the spirit of the Cross-business lines coatings team in Dubai to maintain the impetus of client satisfaction.
A project which was developed in 2019 to deploy Evonik’s Coatings business lines initiative with longstanding customer, Becker Industrial Coatings LLC finally took place as a physical meeting due to the ease of restrictions with UAE’s progress on vaccinating over 80% of the country and Evonik MEA being a fully vaccinated office.
Organized and coordinated by Sachin Arte, Senior Business Manager, Crosslinkers Business Line - MEA, the meeting was seamlessly executed and strictly adhered to the COVID-19 safety protocol - from maintaining the two-metre social distancing to having only two Evonik representatives conduct presentations at a time, on the premises of the Becker Industrial Coatings offices in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
In line with Becker’s objective to reduce carbon footprint, the team presented Evonik’s Coating Additives, Coating & Adhesive Resins, High Performance Polymers, and Crosslinkers business lines’ offerings for products and services in one coordinated event. They highlighted the current trends and dived into the topic of sustainability which catered to Becker’s requirements as much as to Evonik’s ambitious sustainability targets.
Representing the Coating Additives Business Line, Perla Saliba, Business Manager - GCC and Levant said “The Becker day opened new avenues for cooperation in liquid additives by stressing the pressing need to sustainability in which Coating Additives Business Line can strongly contribute. Interest was also generated to COATINO® Campus and we will be together with the Becker team on this exciting journey of discovery with the products of the COATINO® family”.
By the phrase “coming together is the beginning”, this Cross-BL initiative by the Evonik team in Dubai has garnered interest from Becker to further pursue Evonik’s sustainable solutions. Also, Becker expressed the pleasure of meeting with the Evonik Cross-BL Coatings team and thanked them for the interactive session.
